LAKE AND TOURISM
Choose to stay at the 5-star tourist accommodation La Ferme de Marguerite: our teams will be happy to discuss your stay with you, provide you with additional information about your chosen package and book your holiday.
What is there to do near the Lac de l’Abbaye?
The second biggest lake in the Jura region, the Lac de l’Abbaye is just a stone’s throw from the 5-star tourist accommodation La Ferme de Marguerite. You can fish on this private property, owned by the Piot family, after asking our staff for permission and agreeing to abide by some rules (zones, no kill, etc.). You can also go boating or enjoy the lake’s small sandy beach.
In the winter, the lake often freezes over. But there are plenty of other activities nearby!
The gîte is opposite the start of cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails and you can buy your ski passes and rent equipment at the reception of Hotel de l’Abbaye or Hotel Lou Granva.
Please note that in winter, you will need snow chains for your car.
You can also enjoy the facilities of Hotel de l’Abbaye and Hotel Lou Granva.

A certified partner instructor can provide sporting activities for groups or individuals to explore the Haut-Jura region, whether you’re in the mood for something sedate or more energetic, including Nordic walking, hiking, mountain biking and archery.
During school holidays and in winter, skiing and snowshoeing instructors must be booked in advance.
